Hello Dear Readers!
Welcome to another special
(well they are all special) Monday Morning Blooms.
I am joining my my friends who have a passion
for all things flowers and garden (and home too!).
Today, we are bringing you something special.
We are collaborating with Lynch Creek Farm,
each of us featuring a beautiful centerpiece.
AND….you can enter to win a
beautiful Holiday centerpiece!
Details are below and the links and images
to my Blooms friends are below too.
I went back to what brings me Joy . . .
a table filled with what I love and traditions.
My Celebrating the Joys of Christmas Tablescape.
I have acquired several sets of Christmas dishes
in the past; however, when I saw the Lenox Holiday Tartan
pattern many years ago, it was love at first sight!
Napkin by Crown Linen Designs
Years ago, I was all about decorating the
Christmas season with fruit as I loved
the traditions of Williamsburg.
This year, it made sense to me to
go with I love … what brings you JOY.
I chose the Happy New Year centerpiece
as I love the combination of the silver and gold
and knowing that these beautiful centerpieces
last a bit beyond the New Year, I can also use
it to usher in 2021.
The fire was going in the dining room.
Not sure why the flames show in a
small version in the photographs,
however, it was very warm and cozy in this room
while photographing the table/room.
I placed the matching Crown Linen Designs table runner
along the width of the table rather than the length.
Thought I would try a different look.
Notice the cute crocheted snowflake?
My mom made many of these years ago for my tree.
Loving the twinkling of the tree in the background.
A peek into the foyer.
Lynch Creek Farm is family owned by Andy and Tracy Hunter.
It originally began as an organic vegetable farm
and they continue to sell their produce today at
the Olympia, Washington Farmers Market.
In the summer months, they raise dahlias
and sell them in a “U-cut” fashion.
Can you imagine walking away with a beautiful
bouquet of dahlias?!!
Lynch Creek Farm sets aside one day
in the summer to have
all the sales of the dahlias to go charity.
A very wonderful thing!
Here is my bit of Williamsburg on the table.
I can also imagine this could be a
very nice French woman selling her apples
at the French market.
Lynch Creek Farm’s main focus is selling
fresh Christmas wreaths and centerpieces on-line,
handcrafted on-site from trimmed branches of trees
that are never cut down. You can be assured that
their products are sustainable.
Tea and cookies anyone?
Did I mention how much I love
my fireplace in the dining room?
Even though there won’t be as
many people visiting us this year
I feel since this is our first
Christmas in our new home, that I
decorate it as I have in the past..
to the nines!
Last year was a very “less is more”
in the Christmas decor and I vowed
this year will be different! And it is!….
in more ways that one!
Hope you enjoyed my Christmas Dining Room
at the Hickory Cottage.
